Welcome to my learn spanish audio web site, I hope you like it. I’ve put this up in response to my astonishing progress using a beginners Spanish language program I bought on the internet recently. I’ve struggled for years trying to learn conversational Spanish using phrase books, tuition tapes (remember those) and CD’s but although I’ve learnt some phrases, as I’m sure you have too, I’ve never been able to hold any sort of conservation in Spanish. Just the usual menu reading, asking for a beer, that sort of thing, and if the Spanish ask me anything back, I stared blankly at them feeling a bit embarrassed. Most of the time in the tourist areas people can speak some English, but I always felt somehow that I was judged as a lazy tourist who couldn’t even be bothered to try.
